I want Barcelona to sign Coutinho - Neymar

Brazilian superstar Neymar has stated that his club Barcelona should sign fellow Brazilian Philippe Coutinho from Premier League club Liverpool this summer. Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho Last season, Barcelona tried to lure the player to Nou Camp, but the deal could not materialize and the Spanish giants will try again at the end of the season. But Philippe Coutinho has signed a new deal at Anfield, and Liverpool chiefs might not welcome any talks of a transfer deal. ''I believe Philippe Coutinho is a good player that is fit for Barcelona, and I would like to play with him here next season,''   Neymar explained. The report also stated that Barcelona want Coutinho to replace Andrea Iniesta at the club.

COURT SENTENCES CYNTHIA OSOKOGU’S MURDERERS TO DEATH

The Lagos State High Court sitting in Igbosere, Lagos Island has convicted and sentenced two men to death by hanging for the murder of late Cynthia Osokogu.   Trial judge, Justice Olabisi Akinlade, held that the prosecution proved the case against them beyond reasonable doubt. Justice Akinlade sentenced Okwumo Nwabufo and Olisaeloka Ezike to death after finding them guilty of murdering Cynthia Osokogu by chaining her hands and legs, as well as choking and gagging her. The act was said to have led to asphyxia, the absence of oxygen supply to the body of the victim which the court identified as the cause of her death. The late Cynthia Osokogu, a postgraduate student of Nassarawa State University, was murdered on July 22, 2012 at a hotel in Festac Town by the men who lured her to Lagos after she met them through a social media platform. The Lagos State High Court sitting in the Igbosere area of Lagos Island will on March 23 deliver judgment in the trial of four men charged with the gruesome murder of Cynthia Osukogu, a postgraduate student of Nassarawa State University.     Justice Olabisi Akinlade fixed the date on Thursday after counsel to the Lagos State government and those who represented the defendants adopted their final written addresses. The late Cynthia Osokogu was murdered on July 22, 2012 at Cosmilla Hotel, Lake View Estate, Festac Town in Lagos by men she allegedly met and became friends with on the popular social media platform, Facebook. Those accused of the crime are Okwumo Nwabufo aged 38; Ezike Nwabufo aged 28; Orji Osita, 37; and Ezike Nonso, 29. They were all arraigned before the court on a six-count charge of conspiracy, murder, stealing, reckless negligence and possession of stolen goods, charges brought against them by the Lagos State government. FEC APPROVES N80BN FOR ROAD PROJECTS IN 12 STATES (SEE LIST)

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday, March 22,   approved N80billion   for the reconstruction of 12 federal roads across 12 states. This was disclosed by the minister of power, works and housing, Babatunde Fashola, at the end of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. According to him, the council also approved the engineering and consultancy design for access road one and two to link Asaba in Delta state and Onitsha in Anambra state with the second Niger bridge. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday approved N80 billion for the reconstruction of 12 federal roads across the country. Federal government okays N80bn for reconstruction of 12 roads The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, disclosed this at the end of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided by President Muhammadu Buhari. “The first is the approval for the Engineering and Consultancy design for access roads 1 and 2 ‎to link Asaba in Delta State and Onitsha in Anambra State to the Second Niger Bridge project. “Subsequent to the award of further works of the Second Niger Bridge we have started work now by this approval on the design of the link road that will connect the two states to the bridge. “The design is expected to be completed in six months and we will start procurement and as the bridge advances we can then connect the two states. IPOB has said that 'Igweocha' is the official base of Biafra The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has said that Port Harcourt formerly referred to as 'Igweocha' is now considered as the unofficial base of Biafra. The group said this comes after the huge support given to the IPOB and its leader Nnamdi Kanu at the last court sitting by the people of Rivers state. This is a complete transformation of the monument ." Before this restoration, what existed was an unsightly iron cage that British authorities built in 1947 and which encompassed the shrine to support the walls. In addition, the black soot on the shrine's stone façade that had built up from decades of pilgrims lighting candles has been washed clean. The renovation has also strengthened the stability of the old shrine, which hadn't been restored in more than 200 years. The Tomb of Jesus, the site where Jesus was buried and later ascended to heaven, has finally been restored to its former glory. The restoration of the Edicule was well timed for completion before this year's Easter festivities and was carried out by a team of Greek restorers team. For the fist time ever, pilgrims will be able to see the bare stone of the historic and religious burial cave after the restorers carved out a small window from the shrine's marble walls.
