COURT DISSOLVES MARRIAGE BECAUSE WIFE REFUSES TO ALLOW HUSBAND INTO 'THE OTHER ROOM' IMMEDIATELY AFTER WEDDING

An FCT High Court, Maitama, on Tuesday dissolved the five- year- old marriage between Mr Agada Egwu and Onyowo over Onyowo’s refusal to consummate the marriage and deserting the matrimonial home. The picture which was obtained from Nairaland shows a lady celebrating her divorce The judge, Justice Jude Okeke, in his judgment on the divorce petition filed by Egwu, held that the marriage has broken irretrievably. “The court is satisfied with the evidence of the petitioner, that the respondent did not only refuse to consummate the marriage, but also deserted the petitioner for over a period of one year. “The respondent undeniably parked out of her matrimonial home since June 2014, the petitioner has satisfied the grounds provided by Section 15 (2) (a)and (b) of the Matrimonial Causes Act, 2004, ’’ Okeke held. A pastor with the Christ Chosen Church of God in Benin has been arrested for attempting to bomb his church by men Men of the Edo State Police Command. Pastor Abel Eku said he planted the bomb because he was bitter about his dismissal from the church over marital issues Pastor Abel Eku was said to have planted the explosives inside the auditorium of the church headquarters on January 22, the day the church was to hold an international conference. The explosives were detected and policemen were invited who detonated the explosives. The pastor who confessed to manufacturing and planting the explosives was arrested on March 7. Speaking to newsmen during a parade at police headquarters, the Pastor said he planted the bomb because he was bitter about his dismissal from the church over marital issues. MULTIPLE BOMBING REPORTED IN MAIDUGURI, BORNO STATE

Reports say Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state has witnessed an early morning multiple bombing. The multiple blasts resulted in the death of eight people, according to Premium Times. Eighteen others sustained injury. First photos from the scene of the incident. Credit: Sahara Reporter Reuters report quoted the police as confirming the incident adding that the Borno police commissioner, Damian Chukwu, said it happened at around 4:30 am. “Three bomb explosions occurred this morning at three different locations near Muna Garage, Maiduguri. Four people were killed and 18 people injured,”  he was quoted as saying. According to Chukwu, two of the blasts happened at camps for people displaced by Boko Haram. US BANS ELECTRONIC DEVICES ON FLIGHTS FROM 8 MUSLIM COUNTRIES (SEE COUNTRIES AFFECTED)

The Trump administration confirmed Tuesday it is imposing new restrictions on electronic devices carried by travelers coming to the U. S. from 10 airports mainly in the Middle East and North Africa in response to unspecified terror threats. US bans electronic devices on flights from 8 Muslim-majority countries (see those affected) The Department of Homeland Security will require passengers coming to the U. S. from airports in Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Morocco and Qatar to check electronic devices larger than a cell phone such as tablets, portable DVD players, laptops and cameras. The airports affected are in Amman, Cairo, Kuwait City, Doha, Dubai, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Casablanca, Morocco; Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Before he finally succeeded in taking his life on Sunday, March 19 by jumping into the Lagos lagoon , Allwell Orji, a medical doctor, had earlier attempted to kill himself. Dr Orji reportedly stopped while on the Third Mainland Bridge before jumping into the lagoon Orji, 35 years old, took his life by jumping into the lagoon after allegedly asking the driver of his car to stop.   His body has just been retrieved from the lagoon . Daily Sun reports that the young doctor had attempted to kill himself four years ago, claiming this was made known by neighbours at the family residence of the victim located on Odunukan street, Ebute-Ejigbo, Yaba area of Lagos.
