CHELSEA STARLET WAKEFIELD BUYS £25,000 JAGUAR FOR DAD

Chelsea academy star Charlie Wakefield surprised
his dad on his 50th birthday with a special present – a £25,000 Jaguar XE.
Some 18-year-olds are lucky if they get a car
from their dad at that age, but when you sign your first professional deal with
Chelsea aged 17, treating your dad to a luxury motor is one of the perks.
A successful youth player at Stamford Bridge,
where he has been part of FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League successes, Charlie
has now made sure that his dad can leave his old 2003 plate Ford Focus behind
and turn up to his son’s games in style.
Wakefield signed a professional contract with
Chelsea when he was aged 17, back in July 2015
In a touching post on Instagram, Wakefield
shared a picture of his dad, Mark, in front of his new car with a long message
thanking him for supporting his journey to becoming a young professional.
In the identical caption alongside the two
social media posts, Wakefield wrote: ‘My dad turned 50 years old today and
after 2 years of planning his surprise birthday present, the day finally came.
I wouldn’t have got as far as I have without this man, I owe him everything.
‘He deserves everything and I can’t thank him
enough. Everyone I know loves him. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Dad, and the man I’ve
always looked up to. Love you’
