STOP LOOKING BACK AND CHOOSE TO BE BETTER IN ALL OF YOUR DAYS
We have been granted a life that is forward moving and
attention getting by means of our talents, gifts, focus and desire to complete
certain tasks. We have been blessed with a great open fellowship with God, who
in turns pushes us to become greater in this forward moving life. His
fellowship is always positive, productive and pursuing. But there have been
those days which distract us & cause us to be fearful of change. It is
always our need to hold onto things and people that do not fit our growth and
those this which will cause us to truly become greater in this life. But we
keep crying about old things lost during bad relationships and how the enemy
needs to give us our stuff back........why is there such a grab at old things
when we serve a God who is willing and able to give us better if we keep moving
forward? In Luke chapter 11, Jesus' disciples take the time to question Him
about prayer and being like other folks. Jesus' reply was to give them a model
prayer and then directions on dealing with others in this forward moving life.
Not in none of the New Testament or in the Gospel, does Jesus say that He, the
Holy Spirit or The Father (this is the Trinity) will reach back and give us OLD
STUFF. So why keep holding onto the past?? There are songs and those that will
scream in prayer, "I want Satan to give me my stuff back......my old lover
back, my negative friends & cheating lover back......(what ?). You can choose to do greater. This is where the
scripture comes in about us asking "for the wrong things" and I see
those songs and prayers directed in the wrong direction. God has created us to
be great individuals. In becoming great individuals, there has to be a greater
level of maturity and higher standards than what the world offers. Reaching for
dreams, goals and understanding our purposes in this life does mean losing and
letting go of some old stuff and some old anchors. Choose
to be better in all of your days. Choose to keep reaching higher in God
so you can get greater and better in all of your days in the middle of becoming
that person He created you to be. READ Luke 11:1-13 make this day the day you stop looking back and see God standing, waiting
for you to grasp the good and great things He has placed in your future.
